Enlightening Book Club
Enlightening Book Club
Wednesday: February 18, March 4th & 18th
We’ll cover 2-3 Chapters at each meeting; however, if you want to jump in, mid-book or haven't read the chapters, don't worry! You are always welcome, and you can easily learn so much from discussion.
Lacy Phillips' book, How to Manifest, teaches that we don't manifest from our conscious thoughts or "positive vibes," but from our subconscious beliefs and self-worth. Rooted in neuroscience and psychology, her method—called Neural Manifestation—focuses on rewiring the brain to align with your authentic self.
The book breaks down the To Be Magnetic process into three core pillars:
Unblocking: Identifying and "unblocking" limiting beliefs and childhood programming that lower your subconscious self-worth.
Expanding: Finding "Expanders"—people who have already achieved what you want—to prove to your subconscious that your goals are actually possible for you.
Aligned Action: Taking real-world steps that align with your new, higher level of worth, including passing "tests" from the universe that challenge your old patterns.
Phillips argues that by using neuroplasticity to change your mental blueprints, you naturally become a "magnet" for your desires rather than forcing them through willpower.
We’ll be meeting at Foxtail Coffee located in the Hotel Melby from 6-7:30pm
If you have any questions, please reach out. We’re looking forward to seeing you there.
Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself
Dr. Joe Dispenza
A Creative Cluster is an, informal support group designed to help artists recover their creativity. Unlike a traditional "critique group" where members judge each other's work, a Creative Cluster is focused on shared encouragement and accountability.
Here is the breakdown of how we function:
The Core Principles
We show up exactly as we are: You are not required to read the chapter (though int he book Julia Cameran can be very adamant about that, we are not!) Life is busy and giving any bit we can, even just showing up is a WIN! In addition we will never shame you or disparage you if you have not done or missed your Morning Pages or Artist date.
The "No-Critique" Rule: Our primary purpose is to move through the 12-week program together. We share our experiences with the exercises during the meeting and "Artist Dates," but we do not critique each other's creative projects. In addition, we do not fix another person or make suggestions without permission.
Safety and Sacred Space: The group serves as a "safe harbor" where members can be vulnerable about their fears, creative blocks, and "Censor" (that inner critical voice). We hold eachother with the utmost care and sincerity, and of course, a little humor mixed in there too!
